POLICY'S INITIAL DATE: May 4, 1982
THIS VERSION APPROVED: November 17, 1992
To define employment conditions of regular, full-time employees classified as Administrator.
Each Executive shall determine and assign responsibilities to each Administrator in his or her unit, and shall also establish the general limits of the annual work schedule associated with those responsibilities, keeping in mind that forty (40) hours a week is a minimum requirement, and that many assignments require longer hours.
Vacation is accumulated at the rate of two (2) days for each month of regular service, with a maximum allowable accumulation of thirty (30) days; beginning with the twenty sixth (26th) year of continuous, regular service, the rate is two and one-quarter (2-1/4) days a month, with a maximum accumulation of thirty-three (33) days.
After one (1) continuous year of a regular service, an Administrator who terminates service shall receive the cash equivalent of unused vacation not to exceed the allowable maximum accumulation (see the Workday Percentage Factor Calculator for the method of calculating payment of unused vacation, and HR50 for special provisions at retirement).
An Administrator is entitled to leave with pay (as needed) for absences due to illness or injury.
