Research Protection Policies
General University Reference Utility
The following Research Protections policies have been promulgated by the appropriate officers of the University within their delegated responsibilities from the Board of Trustees.
The Research Protections section of the Policy Manual presents Penn State policies governing the ethical conduct of University research.
These Policies specify the manner in which funded and unfunded research is conducted to ensure that it is conducted responsibly and in accordance with federal regulations, policies and procedures.
The Policy Steward for this section of the Policy Manual is the Associate Vice President for Research, Director of the Office for Research Protections. If there are questions about any of these policies or guidelines, please contact the Office for Research Protections.
Future Research Protections policies, or revisions of these policies, will be released for inclusion in this Policy Manual when they become effective.
